AmaWaterways has just announced the release of three new themed cruises that will set sail in 2015. Customers can choose from “Beer,” “Art Illumination,” or “Jazz” river cruises aboard one of the following ships: the AmaLyra, AmaPrima, or AmaLegro.

Guests traveling on any of the vessels can expect amenities such as Western-style dining options, themed dinners, complimentary wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee with lunch and dinner, and complimentary tea and coffee stations (available daily). Onboard events, including live musical performances and cultural discussion forums, as well as amenities like a fitness center with bicycles, walking track and whirlpool, salon and spa services, a sun deck, English-speaking guides, and complimentary in-room “Infotainment” (featuring Internet, music, newly released movies and English-language television) will also be available.

The AmaLyra, and the AmaPrima, respectively, will host the “Beer Cruise,” with two departure dates set for 2015. The ships will embark on March 31 and December 14 for a beer-themed trip where guests will have the opportunity to go on excursions to historic breweries with guided tours, participate in lager and ale tastings, and attend educational discussions aboard the cruise ship. With prices starting at $2,599 per person on the AmaLyra, and $2,899 per person for the AmaPrima, the Beer Cruise will also include a beer pairing dinner presented by beer writer and connoisseur, David Russell.

The AmaLegro will be housing guests of the “Art Illumination Cruise” through France’s Normandy region, which departs on August 13, 2015. The seven-night trip begins at $3,599 per person, with an optional two-night stay in Paris for $600 per person (which includes luxury hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, and guided tours). The cruise will offer visits to Rouen’s Gothic cathedral, Monet’s house and garden in Giverny, the picturesque seaside village of Honfleur, and Van Gogh’s former home in Auvers-sur-Oise. Moreover, complimentary painting classes, and a two-night sightseeing stay in Paris are other package features.

The “Jazz Cruise” is scheduled for September 22, where guests will traverse the Danube aboard the AmaLyra, starting at $3,599 per person. The seven-night journey, which is conducted in partnership with Jazzdagen Tours, will offer jazz performances, port tours, (including the grand capital, Vienna, and Durnstein), visits to cathedrals and baroque abbeys, sightseeing in the Wachau Valley, and the chance to cross Europe’s Continental Divide via the Main-Danube Canal.
