TCS World Travel Adds Teen Advisory Panel

TCS World Travel has launched a new Teen Advisory Panel, a parent- and teen-approved platform that gives voice to teenagers. Staying on the pulse of family travel trends and guests’ needs, TCS World Travel has selected an advisory group of well-traveled teenagers to serve as a resource for their luxury custom travel consultants as they create personalized independent journeys for families.

The panel, which comprises eight teenagers who have visited a minimum of 15 countries on three or more continents outside of North America, will share their personal recommendations on destinations and experiences for teens.

Noting the "increased influence that teens have on family travel decisions, especially when grandparents and parents want to ensure everyone will enjoy the experience," TCS World Travel President Shelley Cline said: “We created our Teen Advisory Panel to serve as a resource for the entire family—for grandparents and parents who want to keep their teens engaged and excited while traveling and for teenage guests who want to have a say in their family vacations."

When guests work with their consultant to plan their custom-tailored journeys, the teen advisory panel is available for questions and can provide recommendations with a teenage perspective, from identifying the most Instagram-worthy spots in a certain city and the best neighborhoods for foodie experiences, to suggesting local concerts for their age group and where to meet people their age.

Teen-approved experiences include:

  • "Embracing Adventure:" TCS World Travel’s consultants can arrange guides for teen-approved outdoor adventures from surfing in El Salvador and sand boarding in the desert to mountain climbing and canyoning in Innsbruck or Queenstown.
  • "Savoring the City Through Food:" A food blogger can take teens to experience the most unique food that a country has to offer, from street food to weird and unusual dishes.
  • "Shopping Like a Local:" A local fashionista can help teens find markets and boutiques, no matter their style.

The members of the Teen Advisory Panel are between 14 and 17 years old and have been vetted/handpicked by TCS World Travel based on the above qualifications and a detailed questionnaire about their travel experience and recommendations.
