We hear that Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is set to open its first Russian property in 2012.

The 400-room Moscow hotel will occupy the top floors of a 42-story tower in the Park Huaming Business Centre, a new multi-purpose development. The hotel will be located next to the Botanical Gardens, six miles from Red Square.

Each room will be at least 430 square feet with views of the Centre's Chinese landscaped gardens or of the Botanical Gardens. The hotel's dining options will include both Chinese and Russian restaurants. There will also be a 12,918-square-foot grand ballroom, a 7,535-square-foot auditorium, an indoor swimming pool and health club.
