St. Lucia's Ladera Taps Warren Francis As New GM
May 20, 2009 By: Joe PikeSt. Lucia's Ladera, near the port town of Soufrière and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, has appointed Warren Francis, Jr., better known as "Waddy" as the new general manager for the open-air resort.

Prior to joining Ladera, Francis served as the interim general manager at Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour in the Bahamas. Francis, who launched his hotel career in 1985 after earning a Master's degree in hotel administration from Cornell University, has managed luxury resorts in such destinations as the Turks and Caicos, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Mustique, Antigua, Bermuda and St. John. He was managing director at Antigua's Mill Reef Club & Properties, general manager of The Cotton House in Mustique, GM of The Palms in the Turks and Caicos and GM of PSV Resort in the Grenadines.
Ladera's 26 suites and six villas were intentionally built without a fourth wall, yet were designed to be both sheltered and completely private. It's Dasheene restaurant is known for its West Indian and international cuisine.
