Johannesburg’s Westcliff Hotel to Become a Four Seasons

Westcliff Hotel, JohannesburgLast year Orient-Express sold The Westcliff, easily one of the finest hotels in Johannesburg, to an undisclosed buyer. Under the terms of the agreement, Orient-Express stayed on as manager of the property for a 12-month period while the new owner developed their renovation strategy.

The rumor mills starting churning… Which luxury brand would take over management? Now we’re hearing whispers that it’s none other than Four Seasons. Business Traveller is reporting that The Westcliff was sold to a joint venture partnership between Dubai-based Albwardy Investment and Singapore-based Hotels Properties Limited, and that Four Seasons is slated to take over operation in June, when a large-scale renovation program will start.
