The Mantis Collection has another feather to put in its hat. Views Boutique Hotel & Spa is slated to open November 1, overlooking Wilderness Beach on the Indian Ocean and situated on South Africa’s Garden Route. The hotel is a 25-minute drive from George Airport, which offers regularly connecting flights to and from Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Architect Harry Burger designed Views Boutique Hotel & Spa in a way that maximizes its ocean setting; he makes sure that, wherever guests are, they will have a panoramic view. Inside interiors are styled for comfort and luxury with clean-lined, smart furnishings. Water and light are themes that play throughout (think three-storey rotating aquarium).
All rooms are equipped with large LCD-TVs, iPod connecting and charging stations and mood-controlled lighting. In total, there are 22 rooms and suites including a Penthouse with panoramic views; three Honeymoon Suites with direct sea views; nine Premier suites; two Luxury suites; one Deluxe suite and four Classic rooms which can be combined to form two bedroom suites, one with a shared balcony and one without.
Bathrooms have heated floors and towel racks; separate bath and shower, double-basin vanities, plantation-style privacy shutters and Molton Brown amenities.
There will be two restaurants at the Views: fine dining at Foam Restaurant and casual dining at The Sails Bistro. In addition, guests can dine alfresco on the Sea View cocktail deck. Other comforts include a library lounge with a “Bio Fire” fireplace; a private rooftop pool deck with solar heated rim-flow pool; a games room and 24-hour security.
The spa at Views has five treatments rooms, two of which are dual. There is also an herbal sauna and flotation room, a vitality pool with hydrotherapy circuit and a roman steam room with sensation shower.
