South African Safari: Truffle Hunting in the Jungle

We've heard that South Africa's largest private game reserve has launched the Tswalu Kalahari Truffle Safari, offering a guided jungle-prowl for meerkats, cheetahs and of course, the delectable (and elusive) fungus, truffles.

Guests will by Cessna from Johannesburg or Cape Town and head to the reserve where you can set up shop in one of eight suites or a private house.

After bouncing about in an air-air vehicle with your utterly charming, knowledgeable and private guide, make sure to book a massage in the resort's outdoor spa or dine alfresco on a private deck.

Make sure to book your trip soon, those pesky truffles are only around until the end of May.
