Bridal Boot Camp in Ireland
August 7, 2009 By: Ruthanne TerreroHave a client who’s getting married but nervous they’ll be perceived as a bit pudgy in the wedding photos? Well, it’s time foro them to head off to Ireland, then, where the folks at ESPA at The Ritz-Carlton, Powerscourt will whip them into shape.
Right now, there’s just one four-day program set, which begins September 23. But the hotel is confident it will be adding more. If the September timing works for your client’s nuptials date, they’ll be able to enjoy a range of fitness classes, spa treatments, a nutrition workshop and a make over. We say this might not only be great for the bride but for her bridesmaids as well; sort of a Girlfriend Getaway on steroids.
The cost is 335 Euro per day (approximately $480 US), based on a four-day stay. Included are four night’s accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner each day and classes such as body pump, Pilates, boxercise, circuit training and aqua aerobics. Fear not, these classes are combined with less strenuous activities such as a bicycle trek through the countryside and a River walk on Powerscourt Estate.
Then there’s the 30,000-square-foot spa. Over the four days, they’ll be able to enjoy a Salt & Oil body scrub, a Swedish massage, a Detoxifying hip and thigh treatment, and an ESPA facial. On day four, it will be time for the manicure and pedicure and a make up and hair class by LA Make up.
Where is this place? The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt, County Wicklow is just outside of Dublin.
