A new year, and an exciting roster of new hotels is joining the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). One that’s particularly noteworthy is the Sant Francesc Hotel Singular in Palma, Mallorca. Slated to open in February, the hotel is housed in a historic manor house that had been in a state of disrepair in the heart of Palma’s old town. Now meticulously restored, the building has a splendid setting- next to the Basilica de Sant Francesc, one of the town’s oldest churches.
There are just 42 rooms, decorated with antiques and contemporary art. The top digs is La Torre suite, equipped with a large private terrace offering panoramic views of the old town, the sea and the Tramuntana mountains. Another top choice is the Sant Francesc Suite, which has a balcony and a restored ceiling fresco. All rooms come with free wifi, gourmet mini bars with local products, Nespresso machines and HEELEY bath amenities.
Hotel facilities include a gym, a rooftop terrace with a pool, a restaurant located in the former stables, a lounge bar and a garden.
