Expansion Plans for Six Senses Hotels and Resorts

Six Senses Seychelles

As we recently reported, Six Senses is gearing up to open a new private-island resort in the Seychelles called Six Senses Zil Pasyon… hot on the heels of new luxury residences in the swank ski report of Courchevel in the French Alps. These properties are part of a global expansion plan to add five resorts by the end of 2017, bringing the total to 15 for the Bangkok-based hospitality brand. (Luxury spas and wellness facilities are key for the brand. Six Senses also has 29 branded spas at non-Six-Senses hotels around the world.)

On the horizon are resorts in Bhutan and Bali for 2017, and CEO Neil Jacobs has said the brand is scouting locations in Africa, Central and South America, including Nicaragua and Colombia. They are also looking at the possible acquisition of a hotel in Italy, and a number of different possibilities in the U.S. market.
