Experience More: Change Your Travel Pattern in 2016

It’s a new year, and with it comes the opportunity to set new travel goals. That goal may be to visit that new city, complete that difficult hike or cruise on a new line. However, an even more satisfying challenge may be to alter the way you travel all together.

Some of us travel mainly to see the sites, for the adventure, to sit on the sandy beach or to eat fabulous cuisine. However, if we always travel for the same reasons we miss so much of what a destination has to offer. This year, switch the motive behind your travel and really be rewarded. Here are our tips.

The Adventure Traveler Becomes the Relaxed Visitor

JW Marriott

For those always traveling for a dose adrenaline, we challenge you to visit a destination, focusing merely on pure old-fashion relaxation. The JW Marriott Chicago has a new spa packages, including “What Ales You.” This exclusive package begins in the spa’s private Hammam with a Warm Shea Butter Body Envelopment, which includes a full body exfoliation followed by a generous application of Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Body Masque (pretty amazing).

A Hydrafacial also is included in this package, which reduces fine lines, chapped lips, and wind-burned skin. To finish the expeince, guests will enjoy an  ale selected from the spa’s seasonal menu.

The Site Seeker Becomes The Foodie Expert

The West Village

Checking out the best sites of a popular city is very similar to finding the best food spots. They both take planning (have to skip those long lines), and they both reap great rewards like amazing views or delicious treats. In 2016, the site seeker should travel at least once just for the food. Try seeking out the best restaurants in New York City’s West Village. There's the French bistro Buvette. This hot spot is open all day and that’s a major benefit, considering it is always busy. For dinner, we hear the Coq au Vin is a popular choice. After dinner, Magnolia Bakery, on Bleecker, isn’t a far walk. This famous bakery is known for its banana pudding, but any order here is a good one.

The Beach Lover Becomes the Pool Diver

Oasis

We often hear that travelers who prefer the beach will often skip the pool. However, we think the sun and cool water will be just as refreshing poolside (trust us). We say, visit Club Med Punta Cana, which recently opened the Zen Oasis center for wellbeing. In this adult-only hideaway there is a zen pool complete with water loungers and a lap pool for some added exercise. To complete the experience be sure to visit the Hibiscus Bar & Lounge in the oasis for a smoothie.

The By-Land Traveler Becomes the Ultimate Cruiser

Panache

The year 2016 is the perfect time to experience a vacation by cruise. There our trips across the world and ships to meet all size requirements. Spring is the ideal time to cruise Holland, because the famous tulips will be in full bloom. European Waterways will be sailing the 12-passenger Panache that direction this year. Beginning March 27, the tulip cruises will depart every week through May 8. We hear that the cabins are filling fast so book now.
