Big news from the UAE, where we hear the Taj Group will open the Taj Dubai in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Taj Dubai, located in the Burj Khalifa downtown area, will be close to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and Business Bay. The hotel will have 296 guestrooms (including the Taj Club rooms with some special perks), 20 junior suites and 14 luxury suites.
Top pick: The two suites occupying the top floors of the building-The Tata Suite and The Maharaja Suite—will include their own private dining, living areas and views over the downtown area.
We hear dining options will range from Indian to Peruvian fare. Each outlet will offer business lunches, afternoon tea, cocktails and sheesha in the evenings, as well as a la carte dinners.
This opening will also launch Taj's exclusive members’-only business club, ‘Chambers,’ for the first time in the international market. Chambers at Taj Dubai will offer some special facilities and privileges for members.
Taj Dubai will also offer unique facilities for younger guests with the Kids@Taj children’s program, which will include customized activities and amenities. Grown-ups will want to visit the Jiva Spa for signature treatments inspired by traditional Indian therapies.
