JW Marriott Grosvenor House Unveils Renovation of Public Spaces

News from London. JW Marriott Grosvenor House-- the five-star hotel on Park Lane which first opened in 1929—is showing off a makeover. The historic hotel recently unveiled the fruits of a £8 million renovation project of its public spaces. The Gallery HBA helmed the project, taking inspiration from both the hotel’s heritage and the vast green expanse of nearby Hyde Park. References to the natural world abound.

In the lobby, there are antique mirrors mounted on the columns, reception desks with a mirrored glass façade, and a bespoke fireplace—embedded in floor-to-ceiling glass—which captures the park vistas.

Decorated with a green, grey and cream color scheme, the refurbished Park Room features a central chandelier decorated with glass butterflies, a Damasco White marble bar, and elegant upholstered sofas and chairs. This elegant space is now the beating heart of the hotel, where guests can indulge in Afternoon Tea or evening cocktails.

Last but not least: the historic ballroom, along with the “86 Park Lane” meeting suite, have been refurbished to create Mayfair's newest meeting and events space, with 20 flexible suites.
