London to Launch 'Paddington Trail' to Celebrate Children's Book Character

Looking for a good family activity while in London? VisitLondon.com, the NSPCC and StudioCanal have launched The Paddington Trail, based on the popular series of children's books and the upcoming movie about Paddington Bear, created in 1958 by author Michael Bond

50 statues of Paddington Bear—created by artists, designers and celebrities—will be placed across the capital this fall as guideposts for urban explorers. The Paddington Trail will track the "ursine traveler’s" favorite places in London, celebrating the capital’s art, culture and innovation one month before the film’s UK release on November 28.

When it opens, the film will highlight many of the trail locations in the capital, including the bear's first port of entry into London: Paddington station itself. The cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Peter Capaldi, Jim Broadbent and Nicole Kidman with Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington.
