Florida Hotel Buzz: Conrad Fort Lauderdale Opens in 2015

Conrad Fort Lauderdale

The Florida hotel that was once supposed to be the Trump Fort Lauderdale has been given a new lease on life thanks to Conrad Hotels. Long standing empty on the beach, the building has been given a makeover (a $30 million investment) and will open in summer 2015 as the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Hotel & Beach Residences.

All of the studios and suites have ocean-facing balconies and kitchenettes with touchscreen stovetops and Sub-Zero refrigerators. Recently released renderings show the glam interiors; we particularly like the living wall in the Brezza restaurant (serving Mediterranean specialties). The official website touts the “globally inspired architecture and design” in creating a place where “life, business and pleasure seamlessly intersect.”

There will be an outdoor pool with cabanas, a boutique spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center on the 6th floor overlooking the IntraCoastal Waterway where personal trainers are available. Note: Conrad is also marketing the hotel as a destination wedding venue. For more information, visit conradhotels3.hilton.com
