Florida Travel: The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island Finishes Renovation

For the past five years, The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island has undergone a $65 million renovation project that added a spa, more ballroom space, a sports bar, and new kids programs. The building’s exterior also got a makeover, and dining venues were updated. To cap off the investment, the resort recently put the finishing touches on the redesign of its 445 guest rooms. New sliding glass balcony doors were installed; these doors are storm-proof, energy-efficient, and frame coastline views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The room design was also refreshed with a natural color palette, new lighting, and a sea-inspired aesthetic.

Located in Northeastern Florida just outside Jacksonville, the resort is perched on a sandy stretch of Amelia Island's 13 miles of beach. In addition to its luxury spa, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island has three pools, a fitness center, and on-site golf. For more information, visit www.ritzcarlton.com/ameliaisland.
