Wimco's Hawaii Foray

After a successful foray into Hawaii with its villas on Maui in late 2008, Wimco Villas has expanded its presence in the Aloha State to the island of Oahu. (Note: The expansion is so new, villa images are not yet available.)
Previously sought after for its collection of Caribbean and European villas, Wimco has begun a “highly selective expansion” into Hawaii to target travelers who prefer the convenience of West Coast alternatives to the Caribbean.
On Oahu, Wimco’s villas are in the Kailua, Kahala, Diamond Head, Laie and North Shore areas and feature anywhere from two to eight bedrooms. Insiders say all of the villas here have open, airy layouts so that guests don’t miss the outdoors even when they’re inside. We say the variety of the villas’ sizes, floor plans and settings means plenty of flexibility to accommodate all types of Hawaiian getaways, from destination weddings and honeymoons to family reunions.
As is typical for Wimco clients, those opting for a villa vacation on Oahu will be treated to a range of luxury services, including personal chefs, airport limousine service and advance reservations for local activities, as well as both commercial air arrangements and private jet charters upon request.
Tip: The Oahu launch comes just in time for the annual Kokua Festival 2010 on April 23-24. The festival will host performers like North Shore native Jack Johnson, Ziggy Marley, Taj Mahal, Jake Shimabukuro and Anuhea to raise funds for the Kokua Hawaii Foundation—a nonprofit organization started by Johnson and his wife, Kim, to support environmental education programs in Hawaii’s schools and communities—and to promote eco-friendly living.
