Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center Joins Destination Hotels; Launches Renovation

Fall (and, alas, winter) will be here soon, and go-getters will be looking to escape the cold in favor of the sunshine of the Southwest. Here's a property to remember: Destination Hotels & Resorts has added the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center in Arizona to its growing portfolio.

Located right between the Sonoran Desert and the shopping, restaurant, gallery, and club scene of Scottsdale, the resort will undergo a series of renovations beginning in 2015, as well as a rebranding to support the new positioning of the resort.

The Pools

Scottsdale Resort has 326 guest rooms, casitas and suites—each, we hear, designed to look like a private hacienda. The resort also has more than 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space with 50 meeting rooms accommodating groups up to 1,000.

Meeting Space

The phased renovations in 2015 will be dedicated to re-concepting the social spaces in the resort, including the development of a lobby bar and restaurant, updating the resort’s existing restaurant outlet and refreshing the pools and amenities. Bonus: Guests of the resort will continue to enjoy guaranteed tee times at McCormick Ranch Golf Club's two adjacent championship golf courses, the Palm and Pine Courses.

Presidential Suite

The Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center marks the third property operated by Destination Hotels & Resorts in the Phoenix market, joining Royal Palms Resort and Spa and Tempe Mission Palms.
