World Luxury Cruise Vacations Announces Active Cruises

World Luxury Cruise Vacations, a specialist in luxury canal and river cruising, has announced their new line of Active Cruises—European itineraries designed to allow active guests to participate in a sport of their choice during the cruise.

“These itineraries are great for the traveler looking to get off the boat,” said founder Jean-Francois Dabrowski. “Each itinerary is developed so passengers can spend the most time participating in the sport of their choice.”

World Luxury Cruise Vacations will offer active cruises on the Magna Carta in England, the Scottish Highlander in Scotland and the Shannon Princess in Ireland. Walking itineraries, available on the Magna Carta and Shannon Princess, will feature foot trails along the canal or deep into the countryside. The Magna Carta also provides a tennis itinerary that will allow guests to play on the outdoor grass courts and indoor hard courts of England’s private clubs. Bicycling itineraries on the Scottish Highlander will allow guests to tour the countryside of Scotland along tow paths and minor roads. All three ships offer a golf itinerary, which gives guests the chance to play on courses famous for their PGA tournaments, like the Ryder Cup.

Active cruises range from $3,590 to $3,990. Full ship charters are also available.
