BURGESS has announced its participation in the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show come September 19 to 22. This year, the show boasts the largest average size ever for the 100 yachts on display, and attendance is expected to return to pre-recession numbers.
With its nearly 40-year history, BURGESS will take center stage showcasing its superyachts, as well as a dockside booth featuring a full hospitality area for clients, and a fleet of private tenders and Rolls-Royce Ghosts to bring clients from the show and onto the yachts. To be highlighted is the SMERALDA, along with a collection of Italian-designed yachts and a newly-built vessel.
In addition to the fleet of 10 docked at the show, BURGESS will also have a selection of over 20 superyachts available for sale and charter anchored off Monaco, and will be operating a private speedboat service. These include: NERO (90.1m/295.6ft), CAKEWALK (85.6m/280.9ft), BATON ROUGE (62.5m/205.1ft), REVERIE (70.1m/230ft), APRIL FOOL (61m/200ft), and CLOUD 9 (60m/196.9ft).
SMERALDA, measuring 77m (252.6ft), is by Hanseatic Marine Engineering Pty Ltd, Australia. It is the largest superyacht to be built in Australia, with features including: design for fuel-efficiency and eco-friendly operation, guest accommodation configured across nine cabins, and dining arrangements that can be adapted to suit parties of up to 20. Among SMERALDA’s unique features are the helicopter pad, glass-fronted Jacuzzi, outdoor cinema, outdoor nightclub sound system, and the sea level ‘Beach Club’.
CANDYSCAPE II, which measures 61.8m (202.9ft), is by Viareggio Superyachts in Italy. It boasts detailed bespoke interior synonymous with the Candy & Candy brand; accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins; interior design scheme that incorporates leathers, silks, stainless steel, glass and almond gold detailing with accents of Macassar ebony and black lacquer; and exterior deck spaces with a variety of seating, lounging and dining areas. LADY LINDA, measuring 57m (187ft), is by Trinity Yachts, USA. It boasts an interior with highly glossed woods, granite and marble finishes, art and custom furnishings, and can accommodate 12 guests in six cabins. It also has a 12-seat formal dining room, a more informal sky lounge that houses an entertainment center, a bar, and a games table; a sundeck with a jacuzzi, sunpads, sun loungers, a bar, barbecue grill and full entertainment center; and oval sliding glass doors that enclose the bar to create a discotheque. GALAXY, measuring 56m (183.7ft), is by Benetti, Italy. It features a dedicated wine cellar, a sky lounge with 180° panoramic views with home cinema, gaming tables and bar, an elevator that serves all decks, and an inventory of watersports equipment. Accommodation layout provides for up to 14 guests in six cabins over three decks. GALAXY is offered for sale.
PASSION, measuring 52.8m (173ft), is Swedeship, Sweden. It has a grand circular staircase connecting the main saloon to the upper deck saloon that boasts a card table, full bar area, video arcade games, an air hockey table, karaoke machine, and a home theatre. Outdoor activities include a Jacuzzi on the sundeck surrounded by a sunbed and a set of settees. Accommodation for 12 guests is arranged in six cabins. PASSION is offered for sale.
LAZY Z, measuring 51.4m (168.7ft), is by Oceanco, The Netherlands. It boasts a freestyle water slide, which drops the yacht’s full height from the sundeck to the sea; a main salon and dining room; and can accommodate 12 guests in six cabins. It is offered for sale.
INEVITABLE, measuring 49.8m (164.4ft), is by Feadship De Vries, The Netherlands. It features light teak paneling, coffered overheads, gold plated hardware, and original artwork throughout. Outdoor include a sky lounge which hosts a bar, games table, powder room, and wide screen TV. It can accommodate 10 guests in five cabins. It is offered for sale.
PROJECT 12, measuring 46.6m (153ft), is by Cantieri di Pisa/Pisa Superyachts, Italy. It can accommodate 12 to 14 guests, and has has a sky lounge on the upper deck; a floating glass staircase leading up from the main deck. It is offered for sale.
LADY ALLISON, measuring 45.7m (150ft), is by Feadship Van Lent, The Netherlands. It has six cabins for up to 14 guests. It is offered for sale.
DOMANI, measuring 44.2m (145ft), is by Benetti, Italy. It boasts of a main deck saloon and bar adjoined by a library; sky lounge on the upper deck; floor to ceiling retractable glass doors around a dining area; and a bar. It can accommodate 10 to 12 guests in five cabins. It is also offered for sale.
