Abercrombie & Kent Adds New Connections Journeys in Italy and Cuba

Abercrombie & Kent is expanding its lineup of Connections Journeys for 2016 with new programs in two of the company's most popular destinations, Italy and Cuba, as well as three new Family Journeys in Central Europe, Italy, Scotland and Ireland.

Connections Worldwide Group Journeys offer travelers Abercrombie & Kent activities and Resident Tour Directors, but priced 30 percent less, with four-star-plus and five-star accommodations and a slightly larger group size of no more than 24 guests.

For 2016, Connections by Abercrombie & Kent will offer guests itineraries in Asia, India, Australia & New Zealand, East and South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Canada, Peru and across Europe, in addition to the following new journeys:

Italy: Rome & the North – Guests will explore Rome with a local guide, including the Colosseum and Campo de Fiori, and then visit Florence and its Uffizi Gallery with a specialist art guide. In the Cinque Terre, travelers will tour a family-owned balsamic vinegar factory, sampling this regional favorite before sitting down to a farmhouse lunch, and then continue on to Verona, the setting for Romeo and Juliet. Guests will also enjoy special access to an atelier (workshop) that crafts Venice's carnival masks and visit the market district around the Rialto Bridge. 11 days from $6,395

Cuba: Across the Island: People to People – This itinerary will explore the length of the island, from Holguin, the coastal city where Christopher Columbus landed, to Santiago de Cuba at the southern tip, ending in Havana. 13 days from $7,995.
