Abercrombie & Kent was voted “Africa’s Leading Luxury Tour Operator” by travel professionals representing 200 different countries at the World Travel Awards for the third consecutive year. Winners were judged on their ability to understand guest needs and expectations, undertake enterprising product expansion and development, and foster innovation and creativity.
The company owns a fleet of four- wheel-drive safari vehicles. It has 50 years of experience.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards is considered as one of the highest accolades of the travel company, described as "the Oscars of the Travel Industry" by the Wall Street Journal. Voting is conducted online and a year-long campaign encourages global participation. The majority of votes are cast by travel agents, but voting is also open to the public. Votes cast by travel agent voters count as two votes, while the votes cast by non-industry voters count as one vote. The grand final will take place in New Delhi, India on December 12.
