In Abu Dhabi, we hear that the Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri will add 22 additional rooms to its Horizon Club executive lounge service as the Abu Dhabi hotel celebrates the Club’s first birthday in September, according to Hotelier Middle East.
We hear that 17 Deluxe Rooms and five Premier Rooms on the fourth level of the hotel will be converted to Horizon Club rooms effective September 1. They will join the 24 Horizon Club rooms on the Club’s dedicated levels 5 and 6. Perks include daily Chinese tea and fresh fruit, complimentary suit pressing and shoe-shine services, as well as a 24-hour information technology butler service.
Other Horizon Club perks at the Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri include a private limousine airport transfer, private in-room check-in, late check-out and a dedicated Club concierge team. (The concierge can also double as a translator—a huge help for international visitors.) The Horizon Club Lounge also offers guests daily breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and canapés, all-day non-alcoholic beverages as well as complimentary Wi-Fi and broadband Internet access.
