Icelandair Announces Northern Lights Adventure

Icelandair has announced the availability of the “Northern Lights Adventure”.

The northern lights off-road adventure includes round-trip airfare on Icelandair from New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), Washington, D.C. (IAD), Denver and Seattle (SEA), three nights hotel, Scandinavian buffet breakfast (except on day of arrival), guided off road tour in specially-equipped, authentic Land Rover vehicles, sample of Icelandic schnapps during tour, lobster feast dinner at seacoast restaurant, evening northern lights quest, airport taxes and fuel charges.

Considered as one of the most awe-inspiring sights in Iceland is the Aurora Borealis, also known as the northern lights. Visitors from around the world will head north in hopes of witnessing this natural phenomenon that can only be seen under the right conditions from September through April. With astronomers predicting that the northern lights will be some of the most active in decades over the next few years, this tour promises to be “unlike any ever seen before”.

Although northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed, passengers may still experience off road adventures, since the package is combined with Super Jeep off-roading with a hunt for the elusive northern lights in the scenic south coast region of Iceland.
