Alessandro Maurizio Cabella is New GM at Rome Cavalieri

Rome Cavalieri

There’s a new General Manager for the 51-year-old Rome Cavalieri, the first hotel in Europe that was part of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. Hilton Worldwide announced that Alessandro Maurizio Cabella will be taking the helm. Originally from Italy, Cabella was previously the manager of the Conrad Algarve in Portugal, overseeing its opening in 2012, and the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice. Over the course of his 20-year career, he has managed hotels across Europe.

Cabella will be taking over for General Manager Serge Ethuin, a Hilton veteran with some 30 years of experience, who will be returning to his native France. Ethuin has managed the Rome Cavalieri for six years, overseeing its rebranding to Waldorf Astoria and securing a range of awards for the property. Located on 15 acres of Mediterranean parkland, the Rome Cavalieri is home to La Pergola, a Michelin three-star restaurant that’s one of the finest in Italy.
