Last week, the Alpina Gstaad in Switzerland was unanimously elected to Swiss Deluxe Hotels, an organization of over 40 hotels around the country that reach high luxury standards. In order to be a member, hotels must meet an extensive list of quality standards and run for at least a year.

The Alpina Gstaad is set in the center of the Bernese Alps, making it one of the most exclusive Swiss getaways in the country. The hotel offers guests gourmet dining options, luxury accommodations, private chalets and apartments and a full-service spa menu at Six Senses Spa.

The hotel’s three restaurants, Restaurant Sommet, Megu and Swiss Stubli, feature Michelin-starred menus, local cuisine and more. The Alpina Gstaad is also home to a wine cellar, cigar lounge and bar, where guests can enjoy cocktails by the fireplace.
