Anacaona Boutique Hotel Launched

The Anacaona Boutique Hotel has been launched to highlight what has been referred to as “affordable chic”. The 27-room property owned by husband and wife tandem Robin and Sue Ricketts guarantees the payment of “value rates for the kind of amenities expected in hotels costing twice, three times as much”, a statement from the company said.

The Ricketts helped establish and manage two of the island’s luxury resorts, Malliouhana Hotel and Spa and Cap Juluca. With Anacaona, they are said to have adapted “a lot of luxury ideas about style and amenities while still offering rooms and suites that stand out for their values”.

All rooms of the property boast airconditioning as well as ceiling fans, verandas or patios facing the gardens and/or the sea, two swimming pools, Internet access, Frette linens and Melitta-Javapod coffeemakers, hand-crafted toiletries, and flat-screen TVs. Suites have small kitchens.

For dining, available is the Firefly Restaurant.

Other perks include: and organic vegetable and herb garden and citrus orchard, a massage center, and a hydrotherapy center.
