Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort has opened newly revamped Over Water Suites on the island of South Male Atoll. Guests seeking these accommodations will reach the secluded island, from the airport, by a 35-minute speedboat ride or by seaplane.
The new Over Water Suites give guests more than 1,400 square feet of space. The Over Water Suites come in three categories, the Sunset Over Water Suites, the Sunrise Over Water Suites or the Over Water Pool Suites . No matter what category is booked, visitors should expect natural light to flood the guestroom -- thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. We suggest relaxing on the private sun terraces or taking a quick dip in the lagoon – you can jump in directly from the suite’s wooden deck. (We hear that there is plenty of stunning marine life in the lagoon.) After a quick swim, guests can relax on the sun loungers or sun bed. There is also a dining table on the outside terrace of each of the villas.
Each new villa boats a main highlight be it views of the sunset, sunrise or a 161-square-foot infinity pool. Note: There are 40 Over Water Suitesin total with 19 sunset, 15 sunrise and six pool.
