Big news from Hawaii today, where the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa has officially opened its doors. It is the tenth hotel to join the Andaz brand and is the first Andaz hotel located in a resort destination.
What makes it special? The Andaz Lounge has a pitched roof with natural sunlight and a central sandpit where guests can sink their toes into the sand. Just beyond the Andaz Lounge are multiple infinity-edge swimming pools overlooking Wailea's beaches.
Cool tech touch: Andaz hosts in Wailea use a computerized tablet to check guests into their rooms.
The resort’s 297 guestrooms include seven villas with two to four bedrooms. Each room has custom-designed furniture that includes platform beds with side tables in a walnut finish and teak wood slat vanities. The bathrooms have shuttered wooden screens and floors made of lava stone.
All guestrooms include complimentary Internet access, local phone calls, non-alcoholic beverages, and locally sourced snacks that are replenished daily.
