Andaz Peninsula Papagayo (a big buzz name at the end of 2013) has something else to chirp about. The luxury resort has recently launched its ONDA Spa. The retreat, elevated into the trees, is spread across 11,000 square feet with views of Bay of Culebra.
Treatments at ONDA Spa are individually tailored for each guest and incorporate the powers of water, local ingredients and indigenous Costa Rican remedies. Nice touch: Prior to each treatment, guests are invited to choose a soundtrack that best suits their mood. There is also a selection of therapeutic teas.
The spa has nine treatment rooms (six indoor, three outdoor), each with forest and sea views. Two of the three dual ONDA Suites have their own soaking tub and private relaxation area. There is also a 24-hour fitness center with steam and shower rooms and an outdoor plunge pool.
