andBeyond has recently announced that they are offering a new program with photographic tours in East Africa.
The tours were just launched this month at four camps: Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp and Bateleur Camp in Kenya, and Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp and Serengeti Under Canvas in Tanzania. After the tours have concluded, guests return home with professional quality images to put on the walls or online.
The program allows guests to borrow photography equipment and set off with a specialist photographic guide in andBeyond’s new specially outfitted safari vehicles. Guests are also allowed to bring their own equipment.
The new vehicles have electrical charging stations, air conditioning, gas-lifted, 360-degree swivel chairs with camera mounts for long-lens stability and a fully stocked bar.
The package options include:
-Option 1: Just Show Up
Camera equipment is supplied and includes a Nikon 600mm F4.0/500mm F4.0 and 400mm F2.8 with 1.4 & 2.0 X Tele converters. Specialist photographic guide plots out the places most likely to produce a good photo shot, and later helps with editing and image-transfer to a CD. Offered on set dates, maximum four guests. Option 2: Book the Safari Vehicle
For guests who have their own camera equipment and only need the guide and vehicle. This option has a maximum of five guests.
Both options include:
- Use of customized photographic vehicle
- Option to book the entire vehicle or just seats (minimum two)
- Full-day outings during migration periods, half- or full-day in non-migration periods
- Full-day trips during migration periods include delivered bush lunches
