For a unique winter-themed event, head to Fire & Ice at the AAA Four Diamond hotel 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, New York. This year, the third annual Ice Bar event will take place from February 16-18, 2017.
The three-day Fire & Ice event will run from 5-9 p.m. each night on the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel’s patio overlooking the St. Lawrence River. The patio will be transformed into a bar entirely made of ice, featuring larger than life sculptures, character cut outs, ice benches for seats and photo-ops as well as an ice wall complete with event sponsors. Pro tip: don’t miss the live ice sculpture demonstrations to see how it all happens.
In addition to the events four signature cocktails, guests can take advantage of the night’s cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres, craft beers, chili and chowder prepared by executive chef Patrick Leibacher. To warm up, make a stop at one of the events fire pits or head to the hotel’s ballroom for craft beer and spirit tastings, as well as additional hors d’oeuvres. The additional-ticketed event will include small bites, beer and wine samples, fireworks and DJ entertainment.
A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the North Country Troopers Assisting Troops. Platinum event sponsors for the event include St. Lawrence Spirits, FX Caprara Kia, Sabre Demolition, WFRY-FM Froggy 97, WCIZ-FM Z93 Classic Hits, and WWTI-TV ABC 50.
