Master Healers to Visit the Spa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Travelers in need of some soul-searching might want to visit Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve located in Ubud, Bali. The luxury resort located in the cultural heart of the island is launching a new Master Healers series that will bring three renowned local practitioners to the resort, furthering its commitment to wellness.

The resort’s visiting health and wellness masters will create personalized wellness programs to meet individual needs of guests and oversee each guest’s wellness journey. The health specialists and traditional Balinese healers will offer wellness programs that encourage rejuvenation and optimal health.

March 6 - 25 will see Andrew Rosenstock at the resort. Rosenstock is an international healing artist and yoga teacher. He’s an iRest Yoga Nidra Level II trained teacher, multi-certified in Thai massage, Esalen massage and reconnective healing. During his stay, Rosenstock will be hosting Thai and yoga-based massage healing sessions that will liberate tensions held within the body, reinstating balance and promoting healing.

June 25 - July 28 will bring Nicky Kassapian, a Usui Reiki master and practitioner, to the resort. Kassapian is an advanced craniosacral therapist, licensed healing master and personal mentor. She is the author of the book Be Yourself – the Art of Stepping Up. While at Mandapa, she will hold two classes that will focus on guest’s energy healing, as well as personal mentoring and coaching sessions.

September 4 - 15 brings Julian Eymann, a certified California massage therapist and graduate of the International Massage Association to Mandapa. Eymann brings with him 19 years of experience in anatomy to his time at the resort, which he uses to treat his clients. He is a personal therapist to many well-known celebrities across the globe, including Clint Eastwood and Shah Rukh Khan. While at Mandapa Spa, he will be combining deep tissue, structural alignment and sports massage techniques in three sessions.

Good to know: Mandapa is well suited for spa goers year-round, not just on the weeks mentioned above. Local healers and practitioners create immersive environments daily for those who won’t be able to attend one of the master healers sessions listed above.

Mandapa Spa sits secluded from the daily distractions of a busy life and honors the tradition of allowing guests the opportunity to discover peace of mind and body through holistic and comprehensive wellness and lifestyle programs, passed on six pillars: Balinese spa, detox and nutrition, alternative therapy, body therapy and healing. Local providers use indigenous materials like teak, bamboo, thatch and volcanic bath salts to really envelope spa goers into the Ubud culture.
