Avalon Announces New Suite Ships and Cruises

Looking for a swank way to see France? (In a way, aren't we all?) Avalon Waterways may be able to help: The river-cruise line has some new Suite Ships on France's rivers, including the Avalon Poetry II (unveiled in March and pictured below) for the Saone and Rhône Rivers, and the Avalon Tapestry II for the Seine River in next year.

What makes these ships special? A full eighty percent of the staterooms on Avalon’s Suite Ships are Panorama Suites with Open-Air Balconies, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling windows that open up for plenty of fresh air.

The company is also unveiling a new itinerary with cruises on two distinct rivers: The Rhine and the Rhône Revealed is a 14-night cruise that lets guests sail on the Tranquility II and Poetry II through the Rhine Gorge, where they can see a range of cities and towns like Lyon, Avignon and Arles.

Four in-depth themed cruises have also been announced for the region: Art & Impressionist, Culinary, Wine and a Jazz Cruise featuring a jazz festival in Vienne.

To celebrate the launch of the 2015 cruise season, Avalon Waterways is offering a guaranteed air price with $250 air credit,  a 10 percent discount on select “Book Now” sailings or free pre-paid gratuities.
