Banyan Tree to Launch New Dhawa Brand in China, Cuba

dhawaBanyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to launch a new brand: Dhawa. The Dhawa Bo’ao will open in China in March 2016, and the Dhawa Cayo Las Brujas will open in Cuba in July 2016. 

Dhawa will be a full-service luxury hotel brand built around five key points. The guestrooms, dubbed Cocoons, will offer a 300 thread count linen  duvet and a moveable table with built-in power outlets. The bathroom, called the Pod, will be equipped with a therapeutic rain shower, LED mood lighting, spa-branded amenities and Bluetooth music speakers.

There will be a communal space on each floor of the hotel, called the Nest, which offers complimentary refreshments including hot beverages, sodas, local snacks and ice cream. Void is located in the lobby and provides relaxation pods for guests, while the all-day restaurant and bar, Nook, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other facilities include a spa, a fitness center and Kids Club. 

Dhawa Bo’ao, China

Dhawa will open its first hotel in Bo’ao, an eastern coastal town on Hainan Island in China, in March 2016. Local attractions include the Jade Belt Beach and Wan Quan River. With 307 keys, Dhawa Bo’ao will be the first hotel in Bo’ao offering a spa and hot spring facilities, with over half of its guestrooms facing the sea, Banyan Tree said. The hotel will have two restaurants, a fitness center, swimming pool and extensive meeting facilities.

Dhawa Cayo Las Brujas, Cuba 

Dhawa Cayo Las Brujas will open in Cuba in July 2016. It will be the first property in the region for Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. Famed for vast acres of coral reef, rich underwater fauna and botanical wildlife, Las Brujas is a popular attraction for marine enthusiasts. With 516 keys over three floors, the hotel will have three restaurants, a swimming pool, gym, kids club, water sports center and unique meeting facilities.
