Barcelona Hotel Offers Exclusive Driving Tours of the City

Want a new way to see "Barce?" The Hotel Arts Barcelona has launched a swank service for guests that was previously exclusive to those staying in the venue's apartments. Even better, three new itineraries are available for different interests.

Guests are picked up from the hotel in their choice of a chauffeur-driven car including models from Rolls Royce, Bentley, Cadillac, or Jaguar, and then head out for either a half-day or full-day itinerary.

Speaking of those itineraries, here are three suggestions, all of which can be customized for any individual interest or need:

Art enthusiasts can take a trip to the Sagrada Familia cathedral and the Park Güell with its colorful tiles and top views over the city. The trip continues with a drive up the Costa Brava to explore the village of Cadaqués (home to artist Salvador Dali) where guests can explore the Dali House-Museum, located in the artist's former residence.

For a romantic escape, head up to Mount Tibidabo to look over city and the coastline before heading to the seaside town of Llafranc for a picnic of local favorites prepared by Hotel Arts Barcelona chefs. On the way back to the city, guests stop at the Labyrinth of Horta, a neoclassic park surrounded by Greek sculptures and fountains. The tour concludes just in time for a sunset jazz cruise on the Mediterranean, complete with live music and champagne.

Wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to sample Spanish wines (trust us, there are some amazing vintages) during a private wine tour in the Catalan region, where more than 95 percent of sparkling Spanish cava is produced. The tour includes visits to nearby Catalan vineyards such as Cava Recaredo or Castillo de Perelada, where they can opt for private tastings, vineyard tours and access to private cellars.

All tours include the chauffeur-driven car, the excursion and a picnic prepared by the hotel.
