New from Belmond: Fitness Retreat in the Angkor Wat Temples

La Residence d'Angkor

As far as luxury boot camps go, this sounds pretty fabulous. The Belmond La Résidence d’Angkora lovely little hotel located on the banks of Siem Reap’s river in Cambodia—has launched a new week-long fitness retreat from November 30-December 7, 2014 prior to the 18th Angkor Wat International Half Marathon.

For the first time ever at Angkor Wat, guests will be able to train inside the ancient temple ruins, a world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage site. Fitness trainer Malik Lomax will lead the morning fitness sessions which will include muscular isolation training plus aerobic activities like mountain bike rides and jogging. The program combines healthy gourmet cuisine, yoga, and private, personalized training sessions.
