Spend the holidays somewhere warm this winter with Viceroy Zihuatanejo’s upcoming holiday program. Well suited for those traveling with children, the new program features activities and events designed around family fun and togetherness.
New for the festive season includes a Kids Concierge, which arranges and organizes a variety of events for little ones to enjoy. The Concierge will take kids to the shore to collect sea shells and build castles. The resort’s chefs will welcome kids into the kitchen for a day of baking, or they can spend the day exploring for sea turtles nests and learning about the importance of marine habitats.
While the kids are with the Kids Concierge, adults can enjoy winter at Viceroy offerings like cooking classes, side-by-side couples massages, tequila and ceviche tastings, special dining events, water sports and a New Year’s Eve party complete with live music.
Upon arrival at Viceroy Zihuatanejo, a large Christmas tree in the lobby will greet guests, while mixologists will be nearby creating holiday drinks like hibiscus margaritas. Complimentary yoga and paddle board classes will be offered this winter, as well as the Viceroy Zihuatanejo Volley Ball Challenge on the sand.
All three restaurants on site – La Marea, La Marea Bar, and La Villa – will have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menus with menus, food and dishes for diners of all ages, including a traditional Christmas Dinner with roasted turkey, a Mexican Buffet complete with a Mariachi band and a Mediterranean Buffet with a DJ.
On New Year’s Eve, there will be a variety of buffet options followed by a New Year’s Eve celebration with live musical entertainment, kids activities, family dances and fireworks.
Year round at the beachfront property guests can find a tequila mixology classes, a full tennis program, aqua fit classes, surfing options, a weekly artisanal market, kayaking in the mangroves, exploring Zihuatanejo Bay by Hobie Cat, ATV Tours and an adventure park with zip lines, hanging bridges and more.
Families will have access to teak lounge chairs with palapa umbrellas, Beach Butlers serving food and drink and ocean water ideal for swimming. Facilities onsite include three swimming pools (including one beach side, adult-only infinity pool), two tennis courts and an air-conditioned fitness center.
