Whether it’s a first-time Caribbean traveler looking for a swanky villa attached to a resort or a seasoned traveler seeking a bit more seclusion in a private home, Luxury Travel Advisor has a villa for every VIP heading out to the region this summer and beyond.

Langara, the Penthouse has a patio off the master bedroom. The villa has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths in total.

Langara, The Penthouse at Sandy Cove Barbados

Langara, the Penthouse at Sandy Cove, Barbados, works for A-listers looking for a vacation option that offers complete privacy, along with impressive views of the Caribbean.

The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath Langara spans the top floor of the exclusive Sandy Cove residential development on Barbados’ Platinum Coast. Note: The villa can accommodate up to six people and comes with butler service.

The indoor space of 6,500 square feet is described as “combining modern design with tropical ambiance, opening seamlessly to terraces furnished for al fresco dining, lounging and swimming in the Penthouse private pool.” Sweet.

Crystal chandeliers light the Master Suite, which opens to a terrace, sundeck and en-suite bath with marble rain showers and a free-standing tub. The Master Suite and another bedroom, along with all living areas — living room, dining rooms, pool terrace — have excellent views of the Caribbean.

Langara’s rooms and suites are all Wi-Fi accessible and have LED Smart TVs with cable, Apple TV, Blu-ray players, movies and stereo. Technology also controls the entertainment centers, lighting, air-conditioning and security features.

Hint: The Langara custom-made motor yacht is available exclusively for Langara Penthouse guests. Nice Touch: The chef will prepare lunch for your day out on the yacht and the boat staff will stock it with drinks of your choice. The yacht can take you up and down the Platinum Coast at your leisure. Guests can swim with the turtles or snorkel in a quiet bay.

Note: There is no on-site spa here, but services are arranged for guests as requested in their suites or on the terrace. Luxury Travel Advisor was told the Hot Stone Massage and Chocolate Mud Mask are the most-requested treatments. Other treatments include Couples Bliss, Body Rescue-Deep Tissue and Express Body Revival.

Langara’s dining area can hold up to 10 people. A staff of three, in addition to the housekeeper and butler, sees to every detail for Langara’s guests. The private chef is said to prepare meals that rival nearby five-star restaurants.

Tip: The same chef will prepare guests’ favorites as well as BBQs and international cuisine. Cocktails and canapés are served for up to 10 guests while the butler serves drinks throughout the day. Nice Touch: Dinner can be served on the Penthouse terrace (remember those views of the Caribbean and Barbados coast we were talking about?).

Note: Penthouse guests can take the elevator to the Sandy Cove facilities, which include a lagoon pool, a gym and a sauna.

The villa is located roughly 25 minutes away from the Grantley Adams International Airport, and management can arrange for Fast Track arrival service, where VIPs are met and whisked through immigration and customs formalities to their transportation.

Langara can also arrange a luxury transfer from the airport, where guests are met on exiting the Arrivals Hall. Air-conditioned transfers are provided in luxury vehicles such as Mercedes, Range Rover and BMW.

Langara is represented by Blue Sky Luxury, a holiday home rental company that represents more than 250 properties in Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Jamaica, St. Bart’s, St. Martin/St. Maarten and Saint Lucia.

Luxury travel advisors with special requests should reach out to Leigh-Ann Skeete ([email protected]), property manager/guest relations coordinator for Blue Sky Luxury.

Baoase Luxury Resort in Curaçao is a great fit for LGBT guests and all seasoned Caribbean travelers looking for an island where everything is accepted and celebrated.

Pictured: Baoase Beach (here) and Villa (below) are ideal for those guests who want a relaxed vibe.

Even though the Ocean Front Villa is the most requested accommodation here, we were told families cannot go wrong in booking the Private Pool Villa, the Superior Private Pool Villa and the Master Villa (the only one with butler service).

Note: The resort doesn’t have a spa. However, VIPs can request treatments ranging from traditional massages and body scrubs to manicures and pedicures on the property’s private beach. In-room group treatments are available for wedding parties. Tip: Guests are advised to book spa treatments at least two days in advance. To make such arrangements, reach out to Jacqueline Held ([email protected]), sales and marketing manager.

Baoase Villa can handle a multitude of special requests and couples can buy it out for a wedding.

for a wedding.

The resort’s Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant is open to locals. The most popular fare here is “The Chef’s Menu,” a full seven-course menu, which changes constantly and makes use of fresh ingredients. Additional recommended dishes include tuna tartare, lionfish and ginger cheesecake. Nice Touch: All of the seating at this restaurant is beachfront. Although it is fairly easy to get a reservation at the resort, we were told guests should book two weeks in advance to be on the safe side.

For VIPs tying the knot, the resort can do everything from buyouts to ceremonies for 10 guests and rehearsal dinners. The property can accommodate almost any over-the-top request. For instance, A-listers can hire a private jet to drop rose petals during the ceremony.

Other extravagant needs that the resort has fulfilled in the past include delivering 100 flowers to a couple’s room during their honeymoon, and flying in wagyu beef from Japan to meet a client’s request for dinner.

Additional experiences include a bottle of champagne upon arrival; a four-course “Surprise Menu” created by the chef in a romantic gazebo set up on the beach; and private picnic on the beach.

Luxury travel advisors looking to further customize a wedding party’s vacation should reach out to Jesse Vandervalk ([email protected]), or Ana Henriquez ([email protected]), the wedding coordinators.

The local airport, Curaçao International, is about a 25-minute drive from the resort, which also has a helipad.

Hint: Guests can opt for a VIP transfer, and a chauffeur will pick them up inside Curaçao International Airport, allow them to pass through customs and immigration more quickly, bypassing the lines, and then take them to the property in a luxury car. Note: There is a private jet center at the Curaçao International airport.

Tip: For those VIPs looking to get some shopping done, there are some high-end jewelry shops in Punda, which is roughly a five- to 10-minute drive from the resort. The property can provide VIP transport to and from the shops.

Baoase is the only five-star hotel in Curaçao and recently became a member of Virtuoso.

Advisors looking to further customize a VIP’s vacation should reach out to Nico Van der Valk ([email protected]), guests relations.

Windjammer Landing Resort in St. Lucia

Set on a hillside overlooking the Caribbean Sea, this all-inclusive resort with a private beach also happens to house some of the coolest villas in St. Lucia.

We were told some of the most requested villas here are the Two-, Three- and Four-Bedroom Villas with Plunge Pools.

The Two- and Three-Bedroom North Pointe Villas are also a great option, but the Two- and Three-Bedroom Estate Villas are arguably the best. Tip: All the rooms have fantastic views, but the Estate Villas, which are located at the top of the property, are perhaps the best in this regard. Note: While private butler service is not available, the hotel does offer in-villa dining in the Estate Villas.

At Windjammer Landing, a North Pointe Villa’s living room is a tranquil luxury retreat with lovely water views.

The Spa at Windjammer Landing Resort is spread over 6,500 square feet of space and houses six treatment rooms. Note: We were told treatments should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

For specific spa inquiries, advisors should reach out to either Giselle Monrose ([email protected]), wellness ambassador, or Ann Austin ([email protected]), spa manager.

Note: The restaurant here is open to the public. The most popular dish is the Catch of the Day — local fish of the day served grilled, pan fried, local Creole style, Cajun or jerk with lemon butter or fresh salsa. Tip: Dining reservations can be made months in advance.

For VIPs looking to get married, advisors should recommend Windjammer Landing’s Tropical Bliss wedding package, which can be customized with à la carte add-on options, including photography, videographer services, music, hair and makeup services. The resort’s “Barefoot on the Beach”
setting with the Caribbean Sea serving as the backdrop is Windjammer Landing’s most popular wedding location. The beach accommodates up to 120 wedding guests for a ceremony and/or reception. Other options include the “Gazebo by the Sea” and the “Private Hilltop Garden.”

Nice Touch: The resort features a wide variety of tropical flowers, including ginger lilies, anthurium lilies, bougainvilleas, heliconias and orchids, for both ceremony and reception décor. Hint: Steel drum music is very popular as it gives an island feel to the entertainment.

Note: The resort’s bartenders can also create exotic cocktails, often including locally grown fruits, and the talented chefs create dishes, incorporating local cuisines such as baked ripe plantain, green fig and salt fish salad, panache of local vegetables, calypso chicken, catch of the day and jerk chicken. Tip: We were told a taste of St. Lucian ice cream is a must.

Luxury travel advisors looking to make special arrangements for wedding parties should contact Melanie Reynold ([email protected]), the resort’s wedding specialist.

Windjammer Landing Resort is located roughly 25 minutes from the George F. L. Charles Airport and about 90 minutes from the Hewanorra International Airport. Note: Private helicopter and jet service are available at George F. L. Charles Airport.

Hint: Although it was not a feature at press time, Luxury Travel Advisor was told the resort is looking to begin arranging luxury transfers for its VIP clients. That will include white-glove service, champagne and chocolates.

As far as shopping goes, the Baywalk Mall is about 10 minutes away from the resort and there is also Pointe Seraphine in Castries, which is about 25 minutes. Tip: A Shopping Service Shuttle goes to Castries on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:35 a.m.
