AmaWaterways has announced that it is expanding its “Vietnam, Cambodia & the Riches of the Mekong” itinerary with the option to sail both upstream and downstream onboard the AmaDara.
The line now offers a 15-night Mekong upstream voyage, with two nights in Ho Chi Minh City, a seven-night cruise, three nights in Siem Reap, two nights in Hanoi and one night in Ha Long Bay. There is also a 15-night Mekong downstream voyage, with two nights in Hanoi, one night in Ha Long Bay, three nights in Siem Reap, a seven-night cruise and then two nights in Ho Chi Minh City. Prices for both start at $4,498.
Additionally, the line is offering a shorter 10-night Mekong upstream cruise, with a seven-night cruise from Ho Chi Minh City followed by three nights in Siem Reap, as well as the reverse. Prices start from $3,098.
Guests can also book the seven-night cruise as a standalone option.
Travelers booking this itinerary will enjoy immersive cultural excursions such as touring the temples of Angkor Archeological Park, visiting the picturesque lakeside wetlands via a motor boat, a Buddhist monastery, the royal palace in Phnom Penh, a full-day exploration of Xeo Quyt, and rice paper and candy-making workshop in Cai Be.
AmaDara, which debuted in August 2015, has 62 staterooms and suites, as well as the intimate Chef’s Table specialty restaurant in addition to the main dining room. Each stateroom includes a French Balcony with a second full-sized step-out balcony. The ship’s interior is reflective of Elegant French Colonial décor, while inspired by Southeast Asia with Mekong artifacts and accents. Onboard amenities include three spas, a fitness center and a sun deck with swimming pool. Complimentary unlimited wine is available with lunch and dinner; complimentary house spirits, local beer, soft drinks and bottled water are available all day.
