Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has announced two new Europe river cruise itineraries available for booking now for travel in 2017, as well as enhancements to its guest experience. Additionally, in March 2017, Uniworld will inaugurate the Joie de Vivre, the first super ship in Uniworld’s fleet to sail on the Seine River.

The new Uniworld itineraries, Rhine-Main Discovery & Munich and Paris & Impressions of the Seine, will spotlight the history, art, gastronomy and architecture of Germany and France. During the 10-day Rhine-Main Discovery & Munich itinerary, guests will have increased flexibility in choosing excursions based on particular interests. This itinerary will introduce Uniworld’s new Jewish heritage programming and exclusive excursions, through which guests will learn the historic roots of Judaism in Germany from pre-World War II to the modern day.

Uniworld’s Rhine-Main Discovery & Munich itinerary offers the Jewish heritage excursions on all departures, providing guests with the option to choose from the Jewish heritage excursion or other tours offered any given day. Guests who choose the Jewish heritage excursion will experience a guided half-day excursion to the Dachau concentration camp in Munich, where guests will learn of the events that transpired before American troops liberated the camps in 1945.

The Paris & Impressions of the Seine itinerary explores Northern France’s beautiful countryside in a region immortalized by artists like Van Gogh, Monet and Courbet, among others. This itinerary exposes the inspiration behind countless works of art. On this 10-day journey, guests will explore the beaches of Normandy where some of the most historic battles transpired; travel along the Alabaster Coast to UNESCO-designated Le Havre, the cradle of the impressionist movement; and travel to Étretat, known for its dramatic cliffs and beautiful landscapes.

In addition to these two itineraries, Uniworld will implement new enhancements to its onboard experience. In 2017, Uniworld will include all port fees in the total cost of the cruise. The line will also add 24-hour room and in-suite butler services, as well as a new onboard Concierge service that will serve as a tool for guests to personalize their itinerary.

The Joie de Vivre, Uniworld’s new French super ship, will sail the Seine River on the Paris & Normandy itinerary. Built at 125 meters, smaller than the typical 135 meters, the Joie de Vivre will be inaugurated in March 2017 and is permitted to dock in the heart of Paris on the Seine River, making it the first of Uniworld’s super ships to do so. The ship will accommodate a total of 128 guests and have 54 staterooms, eight Junior Suites and two Royal Suites.
