Cruise Buzz: Luxury Liner Retraces Titanic's Voyage

Luxury cruisers and Titanic-philes will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity this spring when the MS Balmoral sets sail from Southampton, England, retracing the RMS Titanic's original itinerary, Boston.com is reporting.

The 12-night journey will start at Southampton on April 8, 2012, where the Titanic originally set sail for its historic journey, and arrive at the site of the iceberg disaster between April 14th-15th—exactly 100 years to the date that tragedy stuck the cruise liner. The Titanic sank at 2:20 am on the morning of April 15, 1912, and at the same time on April 15, 2012, a memorial service will be held on the ship. The MS Balmoral will continue on to Nova Scotia then head to New York, where the Titanic was originally planning to dock 100 years ago.

According to the Daily Mail, Bristol-based company Miles Morgan Travel is already taking bookings for the cruise.
