Silversea launched a new website at the end of September, which, along with many robust features, is very inviting for travel advisors. Here’s the scoop on the new tools: a new travel agent finder allows prospective Silversea cruisers to find a travel agent more easily; the deck plan tool gives virtual tours of the Silversea fleet; new interactive maps display detailed port information related to a particular voyage; there are new social media sharing tools such as a “Share This” widgit on every page that allows agents to post content to Facebook, Twitter and blogs; and there is a new Prince Albert II microsite that contains videos of Prince Albert II in Antarctica and the Arctic and gives travel advisors the ability to review expedition leader bios and search for voyages by expedition leader.

In late January 2011, as part of Queen Victoria’s Americas Season, Cunard Line will offer guests the opportunity to experience “The New Golden Age of Ocean Travel” with cruises to the islands of Hawaii. The Hawaiian Adventure cruises depart roundtrip from Los Angeles on January 30 and again on February 17, with visits to Hilo (Hawaii), Honolulu (Oahu), Nawiliwili (Kauai) and Lahaina (Maui), as well as a quick visit to Ensenada (Mexico). Additionally, guests sailing on the February 17 voyage will enjoy a special Cunard Insights program presented by Rona Barrett, who is often recognized as the “first lady of entertainment news.” Queen Victoria will spend more time on the west coast in winter 2011, after coming off Cunard’s Royal Rendezvous in New York—where all three Queens will be docked on January 13.
