Crystal to Sail Four- and Six-night Cruises on the Danube This Spring

This March, April and May, Crystal River Cruises will offer four shortened sailings of the Danube. The Wachau Valley and Danube Getaways, lasting four and six nights respectively, will provide a shorter option for busy travelers who may not be able to take ten days off for a longer cruise.

The Wachau Valley Getaway, sailing from Vienna to Passau, will stop in Dürnstein, Melk and Linz. Highlights include a bike or helicopter tour of the UNESCO-recognized Wachau Valley and visits to Vienna’s Imperial Schönbrunn Palace and Dürnstein’s Schloss Gobelsburg Winery. Lasting four nights, the itinerary is available for departures on March 29 and April 30.

Departing April 2 and May 4, the Danube Getaway leaves from Passau and finishes in Vienna. Along the way, guests can participate in a ‘Signature Event’ at a museum in Buda Castle in Budapest, take a culinary walking tour in Bratislava and learn about the Jewish heritage of Vienna. Crystal River Cruises’ Danube Getaway will last six nights.

The itineraries are two segments of the 10-night Treasures of the Danube itinerary. The March 29 and April 2 departures will sail aboard the Crystal Mahler, an all-balcony, all-suite, all-butler ship. Crystal River Cruises will offer the April 30 and May 4 programs on the Crystal Mozart, one of Europe’s largest river ships.
