Pandaw has just announced that it will be offering new itineraries in 2016, with departures from South America aboard the Amazon Dream.
The new 14-night sailings will explore lesser-visited locations of the Amazon River, departing from Santarem. Pandaw’s partner ship, the Amazon Dream, can carry 18 passengers, offering guests spacious accmodations. The cruise includes land arrangements for a three-night stay at the Sofitel Hotel, Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, as well as an excursion to Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Also, guests will enjoy a two-night stay at the Hotel Das Cataratas, located next to Iguacu Falls.
Other activities include:
- A visit to Maguari and Munduruku villages to meet the communities who make their lives in the rain forest
- A visit to Alter to Chao, one of the “best freshwater beaches in the world”
- A visit the waterfront area at Santarem
-A night expedition to experience the sounds of the rainforest after dark
Prices for the “Rio, Iguacu Falls and Amazon” tour start at $4,795 per person, based on double occupancy.
