Protravel International Gets a First-Look at the Seabourn Encore

Protravel International recently announced that its Director of Cruise Sales, Marni Becker, was among a small group of  travel industry professionals invited to preview Seabourn’s new ultra-luxury, all-suite small ship, Seabourn Encore, as well as attend the ship’s official naming ceremony on January 5-7.

“It was a tremendous honor and privilege to be part of this highly select group invited to experience Encore firsthand before its inaugural sailing,” said Becker. “I am eager to share my impressions with my valued clients and colleagues as the ship offered everything I had expected and more. What struck me most was the extraordinary level of personalized service each guest received – thanks to Seabourn’s high staff to guest ratio, making this exquisite ship a perfect choice for my discriminating clientele.”

Gail Grimmett, president of Protravel, regarded Becker as an “unparalleled cruise expert,” saying that she has always stayed at the forefront of the industry’s luxury cruise trends, making her an ideal candidate to be chosen  to explore the Encore before its inaugural sail.

Becker further explained that many of her clients’ favorite itineraries include the Mediterranean, particularly the Greek Isles, so she was excited to be able to explore the ship she’ll likely sell to many of her clients, as the Encore is scheduled to sail that way this summer. “The Seabourn Encore will conclude its winter season in Athens on May 5, then sail the Mediterranean throughout the summer season with numerous 7-14 or 21-day itineraries – including a 14-Day Adriatic and Greek Wonders’ cruise starting June 24, and a 20-Day UNESCO Gems of the Western Mediterranean cruise next September 14.”

Seabourn Encore is the first addition to Seabourn’s fleet since 2011. As the industry’s newest luxury small-ship, Encore offers a total of 300 suites, all with private verandas, and accommodates up to 600 guests with unsurpassed intimacy and personalized service.
