Regent to Roll Out New Spa Brand

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced a new spa brand: Serene Spa & Wellness. Originally designed for the upcoming Seven Seas Splendor, the cruise line said that it has decided to expand the concept to its entire fleet, starting this winter. The new brand will offer treatments, techniques and ingredients from destinations around the world.

The new spa brand will launch with the Seven Seas Explorer's December 7, 2019, sailing, followed by the January 6 and 7, 2020, sailings of the Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager, respectively. It will debut on the Seven Seas Navigator on its January 23, 2020, sailing, and on the Seven Seas Splendor on its February 6, 2020 sailing.

The menu of services will reflect treatments originating from many of the destinations to which the cruise line sails. The lineup includes ELEMIS facial therapies, body treatments, massages, manicures, pedicures, luxury Kérastase salon services, fitness classes and personal training, as well as a series of wellness tours and nutritionally mindful cuisine selections served in Regent’s onboard restaurants.

In addition to traditional spa services, destination-inspired treatments that will be on offer include:

The Regent Massage (Destination Inspiration: Sea Buckthorn from the Mediterranean coast)

This full-body therapy uses rosemary, sea fennel and sea buckthorn from the Mediterranean coastlines worked into areas of tension to ease and soothe muscles while helping to detoxify. Warm eucalyptus-infused paraffin mitts and boots enhance the experience.

Around The World Massage (Destination Inspirations: Basalt from China, Coconut Poultice from Caribbean, Bamboo from Asia)

This treatment fuses techniques and ingredients from far-flung destinations, including Indian cardamom, Egyptian coriander and eucalyptus, along with Swedish massage movements, volcanic rocks, bamboo stalks, warmed coconut poultices and argan oil from Morocco.

Sea Lavender & Samphire Body Polish (Destination Inspiration: Samphire from Northern Europe)

This nourishing and exfoliating duo uses extracts from sea lavender and samphire to smooth dry skin cells while milk of macadamia nut and sea salt moisturize. The experience also includes a half- or full-body massage.

Deep Sea Heat Mask & Massage (Destination Inspiration: Bladderwrack Seaweed from Baltic Coast)

This detoxifying treatment is designed to alleviate deep-seated tension and muscular distress. An aromatic, warm mask with algae from the Baltic Sea is applied to the back to release tension and ease aches and pains while a back or full-body massage relaxes the body.

Calming Rose Facial (Destination Inspiration: Hand-picked Organic English Roses from the United Kingdom)

Rose extracts aim to smooth fine lines, strengthening and protecting the skin’s barrier, while a warm rose balm is massaged onto the hands and arms to induce relaxation.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime 24-Carat Indulgent Ritual (Destination Inspiration: Rose from Morocco)

This hair ritual nourishes, protects and restores hair. A rose scent accompanies a treatment in which camellia and marula oils and white tea extracts are massaged deep into the scalp.

Regent Manicure and Pedicure (Destination Inspiration: Frangipani from the South Pacific)

Hands and feet are soaked in a hydrating milk protein while a vitamin-rich oil strengthens nails and cuticles. Warmed frangipani oil is massaged to further replenish moisture. The treatment also includes filing, cuticles and polish.
