Silversea Cruises’ Silver Cloud is strutting her stuff on the high seas. We hear the vessel is sailing her first voyage following a successful three-week dry dock in Palermo, Italy, where extensive renovations were made.

A renewed lobby sports a new color palette of warm earth tones that carries over to the corridors, staircases and public spaces. Cool Touch: The Bar is decked out in a contrasting scheme of cool teals. All new furniture, carpet, curtains and wood flooring give the Panorama Lounge a fresh look, while The Spa and Beauty Salon also received makeovers.

One of the ship’s crown jewels is its Relais & Châteaux restaurant, Le Champagne. The restaurant has been transformed with an upgraded entrance, a redesigned seating layout, backlit wine displays and new flooring. La Terrazza’s updated interior includes a remodeled buffet area, new banquettes and more tables for two. The Grill is now featured aboard Silver Cloud as the existing Pool Bar & Grill area. Gourmet Touch: This new dining experience allows guests to cook meat and seafood on heated volcanic rocks at their table.

Suites are also sailing with new décor. All carpets, headboards, curtains and outside veranda furniture have been replaced. Each suite has a new mattress custom-made for Silversea. All bathrooms have been enhanced with new flooring, marble appointments and either a new bath-and-shower combo or a new walk-in, glass-enclosed rain forest shower with sitting area.
