Countdown: Silver Moon to Launch to Launch in One Year

Silversea's Silver Moon has one year to go until its launch.

Embarking on its inaugural voyage on August 6, 2020, the 596-guest Silver Moon will reflect Silver Muse, while also including new features.

For example, Silver Moon’s new culinary program, S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste), will continually readjust itself to suit each destination. Onboard and shore-based experiences will showcase culinary cultures from around the world.

Note: Travel Agent, our sibling publication, stayed in a Deluxe Veranda Suite on Silver Muse and learned about the up-and-coming S.A.L.T. experience aboard Silver Moon.

New venues will open in conjunction with the S.A.L.T. program—each situated on Deck 4. One of eight restaurants aboard Silver Moon, S.A.L.T. Kitchen, will feature an ever-changing menu and a regionally inspired wine list. S.A.L.T. Lab will teach cooking techniques via workshops, tastings, and demonstrations., while S.A.L.T. Bar will feature a selection of regional wines, spirits and other drinks.

Also positioned on Deck 4, restaurants Atlantide and Kaiseki will each undergo a transformation. Aboard Silver Moon, Atlantide will be extended to accommodate up to 230 guests.

The Connoisseur’s Corner, located on Deck 9, will also undergo changes. The space, in addition to getting redesigned, will feature a new Wintergarden area, which will create a sheltered space outdoors.

Silver Moon will also include a redesigned Spa and Fitness Center. The space, both indoors and out, will consist of a large thermal area, relaxation area, and gym.

Accommodations on the upcoming vessel will feature dedicated butler service, as well as an in-suite bar (stocked with preferred beverages), in-suite dining (available 24 hours per day) and other amenities.

Silver Moon will complete its inaugural voyage between August 6 and August 17, 2020, traveling from Trieste to Rome (Civitavecchia). Bookings are now available.
