Silversea Cruises Completes Makeover of Silver Whisper

As part of a fleet-wide refurbishment project, Silversea Cruises has completed a major renovation of Silver Whisper. The makeover comes in preparation for its World Cruisie 2017, a 116-day voyage from San Francisco to Monte Carlo that departs January 6.

Among the upgrades, all of the suites received new carpeting, while the restaurants, Connoisseur’s Corner, Panorama Lounge, spa, and beauty salon received wall treatments and rejuvenated wood flooring. The Restaurant and La Terrazza have also been fitted with newly upholstered chairs, and Observation Lounge received a new marble bar and new wood display cases.

The pool deck has been upgraded with the installation of two new whirlpools. New synthetic turf has been placed on the jogging and spa decks.

The renovation represents the third phase of the $170 million refurbishment program, the largest in the company's history. As part of the fleet-wide refurbishments, Silver Discoverer and Silver Wind have also received complete makeovers this year. Silver Cloud is scheduled for refurbishment in late 2017, which will include converting the vessel to an ice-class expedition ship.
